Projects

Here is a list of past projects that we have tackled here on this blog.

I have linked to each with a small description.  Enjoy!

Checkbook Cover

This project was our first and fairly straight forward.  It was a basic Tandy kit that purchased a couple of years ago and still had lying around.  I did a basic basket weave stamp over the whole face and put it together using a double loop stitch.

Journal Cover

Part I  Part II

This project was something I have been working on for awhile.  This is a from scratch project that used some advanced techniques.  I learned a lot with this one.

Three Ring Binder

Part I  Part II

This is a project that I have been meaning to do for a really long time.  I'm glad to finally get to work on this one and I'm really pleased with the design I put on this piece.

Cell Phone Cover

First Attempt

Second Attempt

I tried making a cell phone cover and while I succeeded the first time I wasn't over the moon with the results.  So I tried again and the second time I was happy with what I came up with.

Journals Revisited

With these two projects I revisited my journal cover design using a thinner leather.  I learned a lot with this project and was really pleased with the result.

Below is a list of special series I did that are not necessarily part of a specific project.

Stitching Series

Part I: The Single Loop Stitch and The Buck Stitch

Part II: Double Loop Stitch

Part III: The Saddle Stitch

Part IV: The Sewing Awl Kit

Before You Start a Project Series

Part I: From Idea to Pattern

Part II: Coming up with a Tooling Design and Transferring Design to Leather

Keep checking back as we will be updating this site on a regular basis.  Some future projects we will be working on are cell phone covers, motorcycle saddle bags, and many many more!
