My go to site for everything I need for leather craft. They are the most reasonably priced and have a lot of great sales. I'll try and post when those sales are if I see some good deals. (They have brick and mortar stores as well. I recommend going to a store if there is one close enough to you. If not, the site works just fine.) They also have a nice library of videos showing you how to do very basic leather work and how to use some of the specialty tools they sell. (While many of them are great, beware, they often are trying to get you to buy something you may not necessarily need.)
This is another online leather supplier. I'm not as familiar with these guys as I am with Tandy. They do seem to have higher prices but I haven't taken a long look at their site. After I do some checking I will give a more detailed impression.
This is a site that Tandy recently posted to basically do what I'm doing here. My major issue with this site is that it costs money. There are "free" things on the site. (You can download a PDF of a "doodle" or whatnot) Most of anything on this site that is of any educational value costs money. Some of the ideas make sense to me. There are manuals and other things that cost money to download the PDF. No different than paying $15 for a pattern book. What I don't like is the monthly subscription fee for the videos. (Disclaimer: I haven't subscribed to this service so I can't assess the quality of the information.) My other fear, which is speculation as I haven't subscribed, is that the videos are full of plugs to purchase more products from Tandy.
Basically a video channel from Tandy. Just the basics and some specialty concepts. (Again, beware, they are trying to sell you stuff.)
More to come!
I'm always on the look out for new and great links for leather craft. If you know of any please email me at:
By the way, this isn't leather related but check out my other website: www.nathanbeattyvo.com
I lock myself in a room and talk to myself for money. Let me know if you want to pay me to do that.
